My name is Lonnie McCollum.
I live in Adair Kentucky, where the hollers roll and the tea
is sweet enough to make your lips pucker.
I have a two year old daughter named Jade. My wife of
two years here name is Jessica.
We recently moved to Kentucky to take care of family. We
originally hail from Oakland County Michigan.
I guess I took a great interest in hunting when my dad
would come home with deer in the back of his truck!
When I completed Hunters Safety when I was 12 years
old, my dad had a new youth PSE bow waiting for me. IT
WAS ON!!!
When I was 14, I started duck and goose hunting with my step-dad, "Who works
as a Sheriff Deputy in Michigan to this day!"
As I got better at shooting, I started hunting predators, like coyotes, and foxes, (I
would say bobcat but have yet to harvest one!)
I love to turkey hunt as well. The rush of calling a 26-30 pound Tom into shooting
range is enough adrenaline to make me faint. I would love to get into some
turkey and predator calling competitions in the future.
When I coyote hunt, I use my Mossberg 500 pump, with the Carlson's Dead
Coyote choke tube. Sometimes when I hunt gobblers.
When I know I will have a close shot, I bring my .22 Magnum Marlin Bolt into the
coyote stand.
Thank You for allowing me to tell my story!

Here are the pictures of the gobbler I got yesterday evening. He was
strutting around in a field edge under the shade of trees. He kept
trying to breed a hen, but she was too busy eating. The hen began
walking towards me with the tom in full strut, so I whacked him at about
35 yards.
I can't thank you enough for the Outlaw Sling! I had to carry decoys
and the turkey home with no problems!!!!
