OK well let’s see! My name is Luke Pullen. I’m 15 years old. I live in Alabama.
I guess I was around 5 years old when I started hunting with my dad.
I started hunting squirrels, rabbits, songbirds, etc…….
I got my first shotgun when I was around 7 years old (it was a NEF partner single shot 410ga shotgun). At the age of
10, I got a NEF single shot 20 ga shotgun, and my first rifle (a Remington 597 semi auto 22 LR in a woodland camo),
that was when I started hunting heavy, on small game, and doves.
I kept hunting them until I was 13 years old, that’s when I got a Remington 870 express youth in 20ga as a gift from
my Papa. It is also when I started hunting turkey and deer. Now turkey hunting is my favorite hunting for sure!
I hunt turkeys hard every year, and am really good at working turkey mouth calls, slate calls, and box calls. I am
pretty good on the wingbone calls also.
At first for turkey hunting, I used my 20ga. Remington 870 express youth, and now I use a Remington 1100 in 12ga.
For deer, I use a Savage model 11 in a .270 Win.
I started predator hunting last year, but! I didn't actually start trying hard at it until this year. So far my dad and I
have made about 30 stands. I have called in 7 coyotes, 4 fox, and 3 deer. I use my Remington 1100 shotgun, and am
going to start using my new Savage rifle in 22-250 Rem really soon.
Where I hunt in Alabama, the farthest shot I would take is around 50 yards max, unless I hunt public land (which I do
quite a lot) and then the shots can reach 150-200 yards.
I use hand calls exclusively, and open reeds are my favorite. That’s how I started hunting.

My name is Luke, I'm 15 and am in 10 grade at high school.
I am 10 grade class president and on the SGA. I'm heavily involved in FFA, Junior Civilians, and many other clubs.
I run track, and play other sports. I am an all "A" student, and I want to go the Auburn University to become a
pharmacist.
My PASSION is hunting and fishing! I've got to say my favorite type of hunting is turkey hunting, but predator is
gaining really fast! I really like deer hunting but not near as much.
I like small game hunting! Squirrel, rabbit, etc.
I also like bird hunting. People think I'm weird because I make good grades, but I love to hunt and fish, haha!.
I am HUGE into bass and fly fishing, as you can see from my avatar. I probably have at least 1500$ in bass fishing at
the moment. I have all the pro top of the line everything! I probably have around 700 or more in fly fishing also, but
I have worked for every cent of it!
I work in the field for my Papa in the summer for 10 hours a day. We pick 200 boxes of squash (1 box=2 bushel) and
between 2000 and 2500 watermelons day! So I know how to work!
I am a devote Christian, and love the Lord very, very much!
I am into college football like no bodies business! I LOVE the AUBURN TIGERS! WAR EAGLE!!!! I can tell you about
any and every player/coach in college! It is my life! If any of ya'll are from the south you would realize that college
football is king here!
